XI. Waiving an Academic Rule

Students with extenuating circumstances may request to waive an academic rule.

• To request a waiver, students must submit a “Petition to Waive an Academic Rule” form. The form should include an explanation and documentation of extenuating circumstances.
• Students will have the option to get support on their petition. Support may come from the student’s Navigator, coach, instructor, or another campus employee aware of the student’s situation.
• All petitions are reviewed and subject to approval by the Scholastic Standards Committee.

All waivers must be finalized before the student graduates. Once a student graduates, their coursework and grades are part of their permanent academic record.
