Approved By:
Onondaga Community College is approved by and registered with the New York State Department of Education. The College is authorized by the Board of Regents of the University of the State of New York to award Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, Associate in Applied Science and Associate in Occupational Studies degrees.
All degree and certificate programs are approved for veterans and veterans’ dependents eligible for Veterans Administration education benefits under the various public laws.
Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) affords students certain rights with respect to their Education Records. They include:
- The right to inspect and review their own Education Records;
- The right to request amendment of their own Education Records;
- The right to consent to disclosure of information from their Education records, except to the extent that FERPA authorizes disclosure without consent; and
- The right to file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Education concerning alleged failures to comply with FERPA.
