EMS 153 Incident Command for Multiple Casualty Incidents

Credits: (3)
There exists the constant threat of earthquake, brush fire, high rise fire, airplane crash, hazardous chemical incidents, flood and other natural disasters, terrorist attacks and other incidents which result in multiple casualties. Recent Federal mandates for the use of the National Incident Management System’s incident command system require incident managers to develop a working knowledge of certain necessary management procedures. This course will provide students with the management skills necessary to develop organizational structures to support triage, treatment and transportation of those injured in such an incident. This course is offered at UMU. Prerequisite(s): EMG 182 , EMG 152 , or a credentialed ICS-200 class, or permission of instructor.
