NUR 262 Oxygenation Needs III

This course builds on theory and skills learned in NUR 222  and provides the opportunity to focus on the use of the nursing process when caring for clients with acute and chronic conditions resulting from interferences with oxygenation related to the upper and lower respiratory tracts, and interferences with oxygenation related to circulation. Care of the patient with advanced respiratory and cardiac support is taught, as well as advanced electrocardiogram identification. Time required for completion of this course is dependent on the individual learner; however, it is expected that students will spend at least 45 hours in study and classroom activity. Prerequisite(s): NUR 240  Co-requisite(s): NUR 260
