NUR 265 Psychiatric Clients Needs II

In this course, students apply concepts of the nursing process and therapeutic communication with clients experiencing mental/emotional disorders that may be seen in a variety of settings (acute or distributive care, psychiatric settings or medical-surgical settings), among them addiction, eating disorders, and personality disorders. Time required for completion of this course is dependent on the individual learner; however, it is expected that students will spend at least 45 hours in study and classroom activity. Prerequisite(s): NUR 240  Co-requisite(s): NUR 260
