PSD 173 Emergency Medical Dispatch

This course prepares the participant to triage illness and injury calls effectively based on the information provided by callers, and to give pre-arrival instructions competently to those in need of emergency services. This course meets the National Academy of Emergency Medical Dispatch certification standards. Students successfully completing PSD 171  - PSD 175  will be certified by the Association of Public Safety Communications Officers Institute (APCO). Open to 911 public safety telecommunicators only. Co-requisite(s): PSD 171 , PSD 172 , PSD 174 , and PSD 175 .
