COM 242 Social Media Communication Internship Credits: (3) Students will work with the Social Media and Digital Communication faculty coordinator to identify a business in search of a social media intern. A learning contract that outlines specific educational objectives will be signed by the student, faculty coordinator, and a represenative from the organization, and will detail the social media work for the internship. Course requirements include a minimum of 120 hours of work, maintenance of a weekly log that includes hours worked and duties performed, and a final portfolio that includes a brand and organizational analysis, a social media and brand strategy, digital communication posts, and a reflection using social media metrics. Prerequisite(s): COM 110 and COM 233 .
