Organisms’ methods of response and adaptation to the environment and to each other are also emphasized. Laboratory includes hands-on dissection of preserved animal specimens in a classroom setting, under the supervision of a mentoring instructor. BIO 152 assumes a basic knowledge of chemistry, cell structure and function, and the concepts explaining the genetic unity and evolutionary diversity of species.
