Students also learn to assess activity and rest needs and to provide for these needs by assisting clients to move safely and effectively, by performing range of motion exercises, through effective positioning, and by implementing nursing strategies to promote sleep. Students learn to assess skin integrity and provide interventions to promote effective hygiene including oral care, skin care, bathing, and bed making. Factors of growth and development, culture, spirituality, and ethnicity are considered in context.
