ARH 270 Digital Portfolio for Architecture and Interior Design Credits: (1) A hands-on course to create a digital portfolio. Students will utilize digital cameras, scanners, image editing software, and CD recording software and hardware to produce a PowerPoint presentation on an autorun CD. Basic computer literacy is required. Prerequisite(s): ARH or IND major with 30 completed credits, or permission of instructor.
Learning Outcomes
- Demonstrate the basic operation of a digital camera
- Take digital photographs of studio work including drawings and models
- Demonstrate the correct procedure to download digital files from memory chips
- Use basic computer software to process digital images for visual clarity to use in the portfolio
- Demonstrate how to use a CDRW recorder and store digital data on a CD-ROM disk
- Use computer software to develop a basic PowerPoint presentation of digital images
- Make an oral and visual presentation of the portfolio to a jury
