ART 111 Life Drawing Studio

Credits: (3)
Life Drawing is an intensive study of basic drawing skills, in keeping with portfolio development for high school students and others interested in advanced studies in the visual arts. The human figure is employed as subject, in the creation of expressive content.

Learning Outcomes
  1. Students will clearly exercise basic drawing language through the study of the human figure.
  2. Students will develop focused mark making.
  3. Students will have an advanced ability to recognize placement and proportional  relationships within a composition.
  4. Students will gain an understanding of the behavior and influence of light on a subject, the development of volume and mass and an understanding of various spatial constructions in two dimensional formats.
