These courses stack directly into both the 1-year Electromechnical Technology Certificate and the 2-year Electromechanical Technology AAS degree to allow students to advance their education over time. Students can enroll in all 7 courses in a single semester, providing a quick entry point to employment. ART 211 Introduction to Ceramic Sculpture

Credits: (3)

This studio course covers the normal process in sculpting. It will start with three-dimensional axes sketches in wire (prelude to armature construction) through build-up and blocked-in forms for proportion to simplified modeling.

Learning Outcomes

Create bas relief and high relief sculptures, figurative, and nonobjective sculpture in the round. These sculptures will demonstrate understanding of historical and contemporary ceramic sculpture history.
