BUS 101 Introduction to Business

This course offers an introductory overview of essential business concepts, including organizational structures, management principles, marketing strategies, financial analysis, and ethical considerations. Students will explore the role of businesses in society and develop foundational skills for success in the business world.

  1. Explain the nature of business, including entrepreneurship, economic principles, and the global business environment.
  2. Differentiate among various legal forms of business entities.
  3. Understand fundamental business functions, including operations, marketing, human resource management, financing, and accounting.
  4. Describe the practices at different organizational levels that impact employee motivation, balanced/healthy lifestyle, leadership, corporate social responsibility, and ethical decision making.
