BUS 243 Business Law I

The fundamentals of legal liability, of the growth of our legal institutions, and court systems. The principles of the law of contracts, negotiable instruments, and sales.

Learning Outcomes
  1. Understand which promises are enforceable and unenforceable in a court of law.
  2. Recognize the legal elements required to form a valid contract.
  3. Know the remedies that are available when one party breaches a contract.
  4. Understand what commercial paper is and be able to explain the rights and liabilities that come with using it.
  5. Be a wiser consumer and be better prepared for any current or future job in the business community.
