Manufacturing Fundamentals Microcredential

The Manufacturing Fundamentals Microcredential consists of seven courses covering fundamental skills needed for entry-level positions in manufacturing, facilities, or equipment maintenance. These courses stack directly into both the 1-year Electromechnical Technology Certificate and the 2-year Electromechanical Technology AAS degree to allow students to advance their education over time. Students can enroll in all 7 courses in a single semester, providing a quick entry point to employment. Students will learn electrical and mechanical skills through hands-on learning, while gaining core mathematical skills commonly used in the workplace.

EDU 230 Human Services With Diverse Populations

This course engages the students in an examination of diversity in domestic and global contexts. Primarily, we will explore the impact of ethnicity, race, gender, ability/disability, socio-economic class, and sexual orientation on our lives. Students will develop self-awareness regarding their own feelings, assumptions, and behaviors in relation to others different from themselves and how these impact their personal values and belief systems.
