FSA 100 Food Service Sanitation

This course was designed and approved by the National Restaurant Association Education Foundation so that students may become certified in Sanitation and Safety. The course is an intensive study of proper sanitation and safety through purchasing, storage, preparation, service of food, and hiring of personnel. Pre/co-requisite(s): FSA 103B  and FSA 103C .

Learning Outcomes
  1. Identify physical, biological, and chemical food contaminates.
  2. Describe how to set up a safe work environment, including receiving and storage of food and safe food handling.
  3. Recognize health code violations.
  4. Outline a training plan for employers on safe food handling.
