MAT 114 Intermediate Algebra With Applications Credits: (4) Topics include solving linear equations and inequalities, graphs, functions, polynomials and polynomial functions, factoring, rational expressions and equations, radical expressions and equations, quadratic equations, graphs of parent functions, right triangle trigonometry, and applications. This course will not count toward any elective credit for Math/Science majors. A scientific calculator is required, or a graphing calculator is recommended for STEM majors. Prerequisite(s): MAT 014 or 088 with a grade of SB or higher, or any higher-level MAT course (except MAT104,112,113,118), or equivalent placement.
