MAT 162 Calculus II Credits: (4) A second course in calculus for students in mathematics, science, and engineering. Applications of integrals; derivatives and integrals of exponential, logarithmic, and inverse trigonometric functions; indeterminate forms and L’Hôpital’s rule; techniques of integration; improper integrals; numerical integration; infinite series; conic sections; parametric equations; polar coordinates and polar graphs. Graphing calculator use is required. Prerequisite(s): MAT 161 Calculus I , or equivalent.

Learning Outcomes
- Determine the integrals and derivatives of transcendental functions.
- Apply integration techniques to various functions and their applications.

- Demonstrate an understanding of parametric and polar equations and their graphs.
