The Manufacturing Fundamentals Microcredential consists of seven courses covering fundamental skills needed for entry-level positions in manufacturing, facilities, or equipment maintenance. These courses stack directly into both the 1-year Electromechnical Technology Certificate and the 2-year Electromechanical Technology AAS degree to allow students to advance their education over time. Students can enroll in all 7 courses in a single semester, providing a quick entry point to employment. Students will learn electrical and mechanical skills through hands-on learning, while gaining core mathematical skills commonly used in the workplace.

MET 161 Engineering Drawing I

This course is designed to prepare students with the necessary skills to interpret and construct engineering drawings. Lectures address such topics as drawing interpretation, orthographic projection systems, dimensioning, geometric dimensioning, and tolerancing, while laboratory sessions give the students practice in drawing creation. Two class hours and three laboratory hours per week.
