The Manufacturing Fundamentals Microcredential consists of seven courses covering fundamental skills needed for entry-level positions in manufacturing, facilities, or equipment maintenance. These courses stack directly into both the 1-year Electromechnical Technology Certificate and the 2-year Electromechanical Technology AAS degree to allow students to advance their education over time. Students can enroll in all 7 courses in a single semester, providing a quick entry point to employment. MUS 66 Beginning Music Reading I

This is an introductory course for Music Reading (MUS 101R ). Course content includes instruction in the recognition/performance of rhythms, pitches, meters, and notational systems

Learning Outcomes
1. Read, perform, write, and aurally recognize various rhythms in simple meter.

2. Sing and aurally recognize various intervals and scales accurately.

3. Accurately dictate simple melodies.

4. Proficiently use solfege and have familiarity with Kodaly hand signals.
