The Manufacturing Fundamentals Microcredential consists of seven courses covering fundamental skills needed for entry-level positions in manufacturing, facilities, or equipment maintenance. These courses stack directly into both the 1-year Electromechnical Technology Certificate and the 2-year Electromechanical Technology AAS degree to allow students to advance their education over time. Students can enroll in all 7 courses in a single semester, providing a quick entry point to employment. The goal of this course is to familiarize students with fundamental concepts involved in harmonizing melodies at the piano, particularly as those concepts apply to playing from a “lead sheet” (i.e., melodies with chord symbols) and to develop the necessary skill to harmonize simple melodies without chord symbols.
