ADS 172 Architectural CAD II Credits: (3) This course introduces students to common computer graphics software utilized in architectural design. The students will learn how to create, modify, collaborate, and transmit solutions to problems using specific software applications including AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp. Students will communicate and present solutions utilizing 2D drawing, images, 3D printed models, and virtual reality solutions.2 lecture hours and 3 lab hours per week are required for this course. Prerequisite(s): ADS 111 and ADS 171 , or permission of instructor. Pre/co-requisite(s): ADS 112 .
Learning Outcomes
- Execute basic drawing, editing, and plotting using AutoCad software.
- Execute basic modeling and editing using SketchUp software.
- Execute architectural renderings using the latest rendering software.
- Communicate and present design data using appropriate professional software and solutions.
- Utilize computer graphics software to collaborate and share design concepts for presentations.
