ELM 236 System Integration & Troubleshooting

Credits: (4)
This course combines skills and knowledge learned throughout the program and has the student critically think about creating optimized electromechanical solutions and troubleshooting systems with various fault conditions. Students will devise and program control systems utilizing electrical and mechanical hardware. The course is heavily focused on hands-on troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical hardware combined with debugging of software solutions. Three lecture hours and three lab hours per week are required for this course. Prerequisite(s): ELM 111 ELM 112 , and ELM 114  , or permission of instructor.

Learning Outcomes
  1. Analyze project requirements and create solutions with appropriate electromechanical hardware.
  2. Develop control systems that integrate electrical signals and mechanical devices.
  3. Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and programmable systems commonly utilized in industry.
