BUS 230H Honors Prin of Management

This course is a study of the management process with a survey of managerial and organizational theories. Specific topics will include planning, organizing, supervision, control, labor relations, and decision-making. Open to Honors College students only.

  1. Analyze the core functions of management, motivational theories, and leadership styles, and assess how these factors influence individual performance and overall organizational effectiveness.
  2. Explain the impact of different personality types on individual and team performance, in both business and non-business environments.
  3. Evaluate ethical principles, labor-employee relations, and decision-making processes in business, emphasizing the importance of integrity, accountability, and social responsibility in management practices.
  4. Describe how communication strategies contribute to building high-performing teams, improving organizational culture, and promoting collaboration across diverse workgroups.
