CHQ 108 Commercial & Heavy Equipment Hydraulics & Pneumatics I

Credits: (3)
This course provides a foundation for students entering the commercial and heavy equipment service field. It prepares the student with basic knowledge of Hydraulic, Pneumatic systems, and their applications. This course has an accompanying lab.

Learning Outcomes
  1. Define the terms fluid power, hydraulic system, and pneumatic system.
  2. Explain multiple fluid hazards and safety precautions.
  3. Explain the content of fluid power use in current society.
  4. Describe the function of the hydraulic system reservoir capacity and design.
  5. Compare and design the operation of pressure and  flow control circuits.
