COM 220 Interpersonal Communication

This introductory course is designed to acquaint students with the communication skills needed to succeed both academically and socially. Course content includes communication theory, perception, verbal and non-verbal communication, effective listening, assertiveness, awareness of the self as communicator, interpersonal problem-soliving, and relational communication. Emphasis is placed on class discussion as a tool for learning and practicing the skills presented in class.
