COM 272 Communication and Conflict Management

This course explores the nature of interpersonal conflict from a communication perspective. Students will study the processes and theories that inform the attitudes, conditions, and perspectives that influence conflict interaction. Students will examine how power, stress and anger, mediation and negotiation affect conflict dynamics in interpersonal relationships, groups, and the workplace. Students will evaluate the most effective strategies, techniques and tools for managing conflict.
