ENG 259 Professional and Technical Writing

This course provides instruction in the preparation of documents commonly found in professional settings, such as resumes, cover letters, proposals, instructions, long reports, etc. Attention is paid to the development of the student’s ability to design coherent documents, to organize ideas and knowledge, and to use common forms and stylistic conventions. Research skills, and the clear presentation of that research, are taught as the necessary foundation for other skills and assignments. Prerequisite(s): ENG 103.
