Digital Writing (MC)

A Digital Writing Microcredential is designed to provide students with skills needed for writing, communicating, and marketing in a digital and professional world. Students will take three courses focused on writing in the digital environment, developing strategies for communicating marketing content to varied audiences, and producing written communications in a professional business setting.

Learning Outcomes

  1. Identify key concepts for developing effective content for digital mediums.
  2. Create documents for digital mediums that respond to the needs of different audiences and rhetorical situations.
  3. Produce coherent professional content for digital mediums through a multiple draft process.
  4. Analyze and evaluate domains, social media channels, marketing strategies and platforms, and engagement metrics as part of producing effective content for digital mediums.

*Note:


Courses must be completed within the last 5 years to count toward microcredential requirements. A GPA of 2.0 in the courses used for the microcredential is required.
