The Teaching Assistant II microcredential is designed to provide students with the skills needed to assist in educating young people in the Pre-K-12 classroom. Students will take three courses that prepare them to use written communication effectively with pupils, parents, and colleagues; to understand basic concepts of human psychology; to effectively assist in educating children from different cultures and backgrounds.

Admission Requirements
Students must already be a Teaching Assistant from any school district to be accepted to this microcredential.
Other Catalog Information
The courses in this microcredential may be taught at a combination of various Syracuse City School District sites, OCC Main Campus, and online. Transportation to any off campus SCSD site will be the responsibility of the student.

*Note:
Courses must be completed within the last 5 years to count toward microcredential requirements. A GPA of 2.0 in the courses used for the microcredential is required.
