Cybersecurity (A.S.)


The Cybersecurity program explores the way computers and networks are used to commit cybercrime. Students will study the various types of cybersecurity events, along with the processes to prevent, detect, and recover from them. This program explores the global situations that may lead to cybercrime events. Graduates of the program will be well prepared to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or a related field.

Program Learning Outcomes

  1. Identify cybersecurity threats and examine techniques for securing devices, networks, and information.
  2. Analyze the diverse motivations behind cyber-attacks and the global environments in which they occur.
  3. Explain the process of securing and preserving digital evidence.
  4. Interpret laws that have an impact on cybersecurity.
  5. Analyze digital usage, digital access, and digital records.
