Laboratory Science (A.S.)

OCC’s Laboratory Science A.S. degree is designed to seamlessly transfer to bachelor’s programs such as Upstate Medical University’s Medical Technology BS and Medical Biotechnology BS degrees. Graduates of OCC’s program who transfer and earn a bachelor’s degree in the field will be prepared for careers in clinical laboratory sciences. Clinical laboratory scientists perform lab work that helps diagnose and treat disease and gather data for research studies. The degree also fulfills State University of New York General Education requirements.

3. Demonstrate and apply knowledge of laboratory safety and maintenance.
4. Apply principles of Biology and Chemistry in a laboratory setting.
