Electromechanical: Drone Technology (A.A.S.)

The Electromechanical: Drone Technology A.A.S. program prepares students for careers centered around mechanical and electrical systems, including automation manufacturing, process technicians, and equipment diagnosis and repair. Through the use of drones, the program covers electrical, mechanical, and control systems fundamentals while experimenting with drone design, operation, and repair.

Mission Statement

The Electromechanical: Drone Technology A.A.S. program will provide students with the knowledge and skills related to mechanical, electrical, and control systems required to gain employment in careers in local industry and public service organizations. The college will partner with local manufacturers, service companies, and other entities that manufacture, and/or operate and repair electromechanical systems, including drone technology, to optimize program quality and opportunity for its graduates.

Program Learning Outcomes

  1. Explain how electromechanical systems such as drones are manufactured and operate.
  2. Diagnose and repair electromechanical system components.
  3. Explain the physics, electrical, mechanical, and control concepts supporting electromechanical system design, repair and operation.
