Culinary Management (CERT)

This two-semester certificate will provide you with a fast-track to a culinary career, leading to opportunities as a banquet cook, line cook, or pantry cook. This program provides students with basic culinary and bakery techniques through hands-on experience in our labs with the on-campus Bechamels Retail Shop and Stonewalls Restaurant.

Mission Statement

Prepare students for immediate entry-level employment within the food service industry.

Program Learning Outcomes

  1. Demonstrate professionalism in a food service operation.
  2. Demonstrate proper sanitation and safety practices within the food service industry.
  3. Demonstrate the knowledge of food and beverage products, including product identification and specifications.
  4. Apply culinary and bakery preparation skills.  

Graduation Requirements

A grade of “C” or higher is required to pass FSA 100 .
