The Manufacturing Fundamentals Microcredential consists of seven courses covering fundamental skills needed for entry-level positions in manufacturing, facilities, or equipment maintenance. These courses stack directly into both the 1-year Electromechnical Technology Certificate and the 2-year Electromechanical Technology AAS degree to allow students to advance their education over time. Students can enroll in all 7 courses in a single semester, providing a quick entry point to employment. Students will learn electrical and mechanical skills through hands-on learning, while gaining core mathematical skills commonly used in the workplace.

CHE 203 Quantitative Analysis

Topics covered include error and statistical treatment of data, chemical equilibrium, gravimetric analysis, various types of volumetric analysis, electrochemistry, spectrophotometry, and introduction to analytical separations. The laboratory portion of the course includes traditional and modern methods of gravimetric and volumetric analysis, and elementary instrumental methods. Prerequisite(s): CHE 171 and MAT 114 or higher. Three class hours and four laboratory hours.
