MET 254 CNC 2 - Programming Fundamentals

This study in CNC programming is the second class in a sequence of three to prepare graduates for a career in CNC machining and manufacturing. Students will start creating and running CNC programs to manufacture parts.Two hour lecture and three laboratory hours per week. Prerequisite(s): MET 154 .

Learning Outcomes
  1. Program CNC machines using G & M codes.
  2. Illustrate print reading for code writing.
  3. Adjust CNC programs for different materials.
  4. Apply X, Y & Z axis reference to zero point.
  5. Demonstrate machine set up and program adjustments.
