FSA 235 Event Planning & Catering Management

Event/Catering Management provides the student an opportunity to explore the functions of planning, developing, budgeting, marketing, and evaluating meetings and special events. This course will provide the fundamentals for executing the management of special events and catering. This course will have a lab component at the end of the semester. Prerequisite(s): FSA 100 , FSA 103B , and FSA 103C . Approved uniform required.

Learning Outcomes
  1. Create an organized meeting/event plan based on a client’s requirements.
  2. Develop goals and objectives to meet the needs of a client.
  3. Plan and manage a catered event, including food selections, serving style, presentation, display and staffing.
  4. Identify and budget the financial objectives and desired return on investment for events.
