BIO 172 Anatomy and Physiology II Credits: (4) Second part of a two-semester study of the structure and function of the human body. The following body systems are covered: cardiovascular, nervous, endocrine, immune, digestive, and reproductive. Cat is the primary dissection specimen in the laboratory. This course is for students preparing for Nursing, Surgical Technology, Physical Therapy Assistant, and other health-related professions. This course is inappropriate for students preparing for medicine or dentistry. Does not fulfill the lab science sequence requirement for most Math/Science students, but does fulfill the science elective requirement for Math/Science students. Three class hours, two laboratory hours. Prerequisite(s): BIO 171 .
