PHO 111 Digital Photography Credits: (3) This non-major course is designed to cover the basics of digital photography. Students will be introduced to digital camera functions. Assignments will address composition, design, color theory, and the history of photography to help students work creatively with their digital cameras. Students will be introduced to image editing software for color correction, image manipulation, and digital output. Class time will include lecture, demonstration, critique and hands-on digital lab instruction. Writing and reading assignments as appropriate to this discipline are part of this course. Students may have any digital camera but a digital SLR camera is preferred.
