Business & Entrepreneurship (A.A.S.)

The Business & Entrepreneurship A.A.S. is designed for individuals who plan to start a small business/venture or seek employement in a small business. The Business & Entrepreneurship A.A.S. provides students with foundational business skills such as management, accounting, marketing, law, human resources, and organizational behavior. Course offerings explore these and other topics both generally and in the specific context of small business and entrepreneurial ventures. In addition to earning their Associate Degree, students will have the opportunity to achieve the national Microsoft EXCEL certification.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Business & Entrepreneurship A.A.S. is to provide our students with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to start and operate their own small business ventures.
Program Learning Outcomes
- Demonstrate an understanding of core business principles and economic concepts.
- Identify, analyze, and apply financial accounting principles and practices to make informed decisions about the operational performance of a small business.
- Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills to improve organizational performance.
- Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to inform entrepreneurial and operational decision making.
