BIO 168 Survey of Human Anatomy Credits: (4) “Survey of Human Anatomy” is a one-semester course on the study of the structure and function of the human body. Topics include homeostasis, basic chemistry, cell structure, tissues, and the following body systems: integumentary, skeletal, muscular, nervous, endocrine, cardiovascular, lymphatic, respiratory, urinary, digestive, and reproductive. Upon satisfactory course completion, the successful student will demonstrate an understanding of the basic chemistry of the cell and cellular structure, identify and describe organ systems, and demonstrate an understanding of the basic physiology of organ systems. This course is intended for students preparing for non-clinical roles in healthcare. This course fulfills the SUNY General Education Natural Sciences requirement. Pre/Co-requisite(s): HIT 120 or, Prerequisite(s): BIO 106 or BIO 109 , or permission of instructor.
